The 777 +/- acre site is located in the Piedmont/Foothills region of South Carolina, approximately in the center of the Scuffletown Road Area Plan recently presented by the Greenville County Planning Staff to guide future development of the area. Located east of Scuffletown Road, about 3 ½ miles east of Simpsonville, the site lies between Lee Vaughn Road on the northeast and E. Georgia Road / White Drive on the south and west. The area is currently zoned R-S, however the above mentioned Area Plan identifies this tract as being ideally suited for a Planned Development containing a town center and mixed use amenities. Therefore, rezoning the 777 +/- acre property from R-S to PD is requested.
